Who Benefits from Counselling?

How are you feeling?

People come to counselling for many different reasons, often when life feels difficult, overwhelming, or hard to manage on their own. Although these experiences may look different on the surface, counselling often begins in the same place - by paying attention to what feels difficult and making sense of it together.

We all develop ways of coping and relating to ourselves and others based on our experiences. Sometimes these continue to support us, and sometimes they can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected.

Counselling offers a space where these experiences can be explored with curiosity and compassion. As things become clearer, it’s often easier to understand yourself and how you have come to be where you are. From here, change can be explored. How do we want things to be different? What changes might be required? And how this might be possible?
